Having started my career in 1989 working for a firm of Oxford estate agents, really enjoying the property industry I decided to study for a property qualification. Initially gaining the NAEA Certificate in Residential Sales, I then went on to qualify as a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) in 2005.
Since then I have worked as a Management Surveyor gaining extensive experience & knowledge managing large mixed use portfolios within both the food retail and leisure & licensing industries.
In 2011 I was faced with the decision of whether to relocate with my company headquarters from Oxford to Warwick. Not wishing to commute additional hours I decided against relocating.
Having spent the last 5 years acquiring, refurbishing and managing my own residential portfolio, I wanted to provide the sort of inventory reports that I would be confident using myself. In 2015 Larissa and I started Abbey Independent Inventories which we are continuing to grow.
I attended Portsmouth University studying Land Management and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) in 2000, moving to Oxford shortly afterwards. I then had a successful career within a number of major High Street retailers managing large mixed use portfolios, during which time I met Julie.
In 2014, I decided to address my work-life balance and look for other opportunities closer to home and more flexible. Teaming up with Julie again later that year and utilising our expansive property knowledge we launched Abbey Independent Inventories in early 2015.
